Decaf Tea

Decaf tea is available with many of your favorite blends of tea. Some are far more stellar in quality when they are fully caffeinated, while with others there are really no difference in flavor or quality between decaf and full strength. In short, decaf is simply any tea that has gone through a process, which removes most of the caffeine from the content of the tea.

How It Becomes Decaf

To become decaf, there are two methods that commercial companies use. The first is ethyl acetate, which is less expensive and it is far easier to do. The second method is CO2. Here, the method is safer. In either case, most of the flavor and quality of the tea is left intact, but the actual caffeine is removed. Decaffeinated tea may have some amounts of caffeine, but it is very little, if any.

Why Use It?

There are several reasons why you should consider decaf tea instead of purchasing full strength tea. The primary reason people do is because they cannot tolerate the standard amount of caffeine that is found in the tea, which is similar to that found in some coffees. If you are hoping to reduce the amount of caffeine you consume, this is a great way to doing so. This is also a great way to get all of the health benefits from drinking tea without the added caffeine, keeping people awake or interfering with their overall health.

Many of the most popular teas can be found as decaf. This includes teas such as earl grey, orange (and other mixed blends) as well as green teas. When purchasing these, be sure to take note of the quality of the product, as just as standard teas, decafs can have a range of levels of quality.

You can purchase decaf tea in individual packets or through loose product. Choose a reputable provider before investing to ensure the quality of the product. Then, enjoy as much as you like without having to worry about the amount of caffeine you are taking in. With this product, you can enjoy the quality without the risk.
